Abstract

|
The congenital hydronephrosis in neonate is rare disease, and the most common abnormalities of
the urinary tract are congenital obstructions at or near the uretero-pelvic junction. We experienced
a right congenital hydronephrosis in neonate due to stricture of the uretero-pelvic juction at the
Department of General. Surgery, St. Mary´s hospital, Catholic Medical College. We performed
transabdominal right nephrectomy, and its result was good. We reviewed literatures, regarding its
mechanisms, clinical findings, diagnostic method, and operative procedures and its results.
